What you get:

NEW VERSION 2.01 WITH BUILT-IN IMAGE SLIDESHOW

An event calendar with an admin area where you can add/edit events & add/edit private appointments and group appointments. Very nice infusion modified by Terry Broullette(Grimloch) to include nice image slideshow in side panel. Toggle the slideshow & CSS color legend display off or on via settings. Sept. 10, 2010: all new image change script; 'Flexi Slideshow' from 'Dynamic Drive' in 'include/core.php'. Nothing to be added to the page head. User edit of image location no longer required; auto-detection added. Images moved from base image folder to infusion image folder resulting in no external files. Infusion is completely self-contained. A very nice event calendar for your website with manual seasonal image change. Enjoy !!

FEATURES:
  • Automatic detection of image location provided you set your 'Main Settings/Site URL' properly with a trailing slash.

    Example: http://www.myvalidurl/

  • Very nice calendar image slideshow display can be turned on/off via settings.

  • Very nice 'image changing script' from Dynamic Drive coded in 'include/core.php'.

  • Left (prev month) and right (next month) arrow images instead of &codes added.

  • Side panel calendar css now in it's own folder in the infusion. You must enable 'Use Custom CSS' in settings.

  • Calendar css legend display below the calendar can be turned on/off via settings.

  • When 'Use custom css' is selected in 'settings' the 'add_to_head' function adds the CSS to the head section. No longer any need to add custom css text to your themes css file.

INSTALLATION:
  • Upload everything under 'php-files' to your 'root folder' and 'infuse' through your admin panel as usual.

  • Go to "System Admin/Panels"
and add the side-panel called "aw_ecal_panel".

  • Don't forget to locate the panel:
    ( left-right/up-down ) and enable it.

  • Go to the main calendar and click 'Settings' to configure the infusion. Don't forget to check 'Use Custom CSS'.

CORE FILE MODIFICATIONS:
  • None.

CONFIGURATION & USAGE:
  • Setting calendar configuration options:

    • Click Event Calendar link that was added to your main nav menu OR the Month in side panel.
    • This pulls up the center panel 'main calendar' then click 'Settings'.
    • To see the 'image slideshow' in the main calendar the side-panel must be disabled.
    • To disable go to 'admin/settings/main settings' and add: /infusions/aw_ecal_panel/calendar.php
to the 'Exclude xxxx Panels' where xxxx is the side that contains your side-calendar panel.
    • This is because they both call the same image display script in 'include/core.php' and will
      clash if both are running.
    • Change all the options as desired; be sure to select 'Use custom CSS'.
    • Don't forget to customize the font sizes and colors in 'css/calendar.css' to fit with your site theme.
    • Please read wibix's README_ENG.txt file for original explanations.
CHANGELOG:
  • March 10, 2013 - Version 2.01 Completed

    • aw_ecal_panel.php and calendar.php scripts now utilize the 'add_to_head' function for 'css/calendar.css'
when 'Use custom css' is selected in settings. This removes the need to add the custom css to your
      current theme's css file.

    • Added db field in settings table for 'default_image_folder'.

    • Coding added in admin.php for default image folder location utilizing a drop-down list.

    • Images for calendar display moved from main images folder to new images folder created in infusion folder, so the infusion is completely self-contained; no external files.

    • Infusion now contains ten(10) image directories in the new images folder. Each folder contains 15 images for display in calendar side panel after selecting the 'folder name' to use in the main calendar settings.

    • Image directory selections are: Spring Season, Summer Season, Fall Season, Winter Season, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Trees and Miscellaneous.

    • Images in all directories MUST be 154 pixels by 115 pixels and total 15 images per directory; no more, no less.

  • Sepember 10, 2010 - Version2.00 Completed

    • Must ensure that 'Admin/System/Main Settings' contains your complete Site URL: entry.

    • i.e. http://www.MyDomainName.com/      * trailing slash MUST be there *

    • Automatic detection of image location by 'include/core.php' script.

    • Removed requirement for user to edit image location in 'include/core.php'

    • Removed the JavaApplet directory and the applet coding in 'core.php' for image effects.

  • March 07, 2009 - Version1.00 Completed

    • Changed 'previous month/next month' in side calendar from &codes to left & right arrow images.
